Blood Monkey Gin is a new Irish craft Gin brand that is being distilled by West Cork
Distillers. They have recently launched a Genever-style spirit in Irish and export markets.
The brand’s name is a nod to the act of ‘bleeding the monkey’ when 17th-century sailors

drilled into the officers’ barrel to steal the liquor inside. Blood Monkey Gin wants to play
their part in supporting the environment, which is why; their partner is Origin Green
Certified, their bottle is made of 50-60% recycled glass, and is 100% recyclable, and their

bottling packaging is compostable.

Cape Clear Island Distillery was developed by members of its island community in 2016
- Irelands most southern inhabited island. Using an outstanding and dedicated water

source, they started bottling their unique and flavourful Gin in November of 2019. Dún
an Óir single pot still whiskey is being made with 100% Irish barley and has been aged in
American oak bourbon casks, and finished in Iberian oak oloroso sherry casks. Their Gin;

3sq. Miles uses a unique set of botanicals including seaweed harvested from their own
shores and island harvested fuschia and honeysuckle.
