Velo Coffee Roasters was established in their café, Café Velo, located in Cork City. They
believe in quality, therefore they only source the best beans available and roast them to
the highest standards. Transparency is important to them at Velo Coffee Roasters so they
work closely with their green bean merchants to secure a direct line of traceability back
to the farm. After building a cafe business they decided to take on the challenge roasting
coffee in-house. Velo produces award winning Velo Tandem in 200g and 1kg, and offers
multiple single origin and single estate coffees. Velo also produce own label coffee from
40kg batches up.

The Flanagan family handmake natural sheep’s milk yogurt and cheese on the farm in Co.
Mayo. Due to the mild wet climate, their ewes graze on an abundance of grass and clover
pastures for almost the entire year. For Velvet Cloud sheep’s yogurt, just two ingredients
are used: fresh sheep’s milk from their flock of friesland & lacaune ewes and live yogurt
cultures. Velvet Cloud yogurt is suitable for many with digestive challenges or avoiding
cow’s dairy and is loved by Ireland’s top chefs for its taste, versatility and creaminess.
Rockfield by Velvet Cloud is a semi-hard cheese aged for three months with a natural
washed rind, one of very few Irish sheep’s cheeses, it won silver at the world cheese
awards in 2018.
