IRISH FISH

        CANNERS

Proiseail (An Clochan Liath) Teoranta, trading as Irish Fish Canners, began operations
in 1977 in north-west Donegal. Local entrepreneur Michael J. Bonner purchased the
company in 1988 with a vision of creating sustainable jobs in the local community by
utilising what nature had provided: premium quality fish from the cold clear waters of
        the North Atlantic Ocean.

Today, the company remains in the Bonner family and is a 100% family-owned and run
business, with five family members working within the company.
Irish Fish Canners represents the very best of fish canning. The company is the only fish
canning facility in Ireland, located along the Wild Atlantic Way. It is in close proximity to
Ireland’s premier deep-sea fishing port, Killybegs, ensuring access to the world’s finest
fish. As a result of NPD, the business has now evolved into a major canned seafood
provider to a number of leading brands servicing global markets.

The strong emphasis on quality is embedded into the ethos and culture of the business,
ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the company for future generations. Irish
Fish Canners has recently secured membership of Bord Bia’s Origin Green sustainability
        programme.
Irish Fish Canners has re-invented and re-structured over the last four years, adapting
to constantly changing market trends. Supported by a large and on-going capital
investment programme, the company’s ambition and commitment is to grow the
capacity of the business while sustaining and creating employment opportunities.
