Bells Isle was formed in 2000. It is a production and packing company that supplies the
brand ‘Unique Oysters’ and ‘Bells Isle Oysters’ to markets in the Far East.
New production premises were installed in 2017, so they can easily service their new
packing depot in Donegal Town and their existing facility in France. Knowledge of
good hatchery seed sources, low stocking density and the timing of thinning, shaking
and turning frequency means that Bells Isle Seafoods has low mortality rates and this
augurs well with the increased area available to it for oyster cultivation.
